Secret of Kells

Oi pessoal!!! Finalmente o Segredo de Kells chegou nos cinemas de nossa terrinha! Ele está participando do 7o Festival Internacional de Cinema Infantil no Cinemark, confiram os horários pois há várias sessões neste final de semana e no próximo!



Vai passar dublado, uma pena pois queria muito ouvir a voz original super gracinha da Aisling, mas espero que os dubladores brasileiros tenham feito um bom trabalho.

Fiz um desenho em homenagem à época da produção, rsrsrs várias noites e minha técnica de dormir sem derrubar a lapiseira foi praticada à perfeição, hehehehe.

Lógico que esse desenho q fiz não faz justiça nenhuma ao belíssimo Segredo de Kells, concebido pelo diretor Tomm Moore e o estúdio Cartoon Saloon. Mais informações no site oficial do filme. O diretor mantém também um blog da produção do filme, confiram.


Hi y'all! Finally we'll be able to see The Secret of Kells on the big screen. This drawing is in homage of so many sleepless nights. Of course it does not do any justice to the true beauty of that movie. Complete awesomeness from the mind of director Tomm Moore and the Cartoon Saloon. He's been keeping a great production blog for the movie.

Star trek

Ok, this is old... but it's something that really touched me and made me think about values, friendship, a whole lotta things. I've been working on this since May, when I went to see Star Trek in a movie theater in Sao Paulo. Many retakes for not planning enough. And they are just 3 pages... trying to nail it in the thumbnails is really important, and I should've known better. (please click to see them bigger and readable)

Gosto muito deste fato que presenciei. Me fez refletir sobre uma porção de valores, principalmente amizades (justo eu). Estou produzindo estas páginas desde que assisti Star Trek em maio. Por isso desculpe o mofo, foram várias refações até ficar mais ou menos aceitável... ressalto aqui a importancia de fechar o máximo nos thumbnails que você faz, não deixe pra resolver na próxima fase... (isso eu deveria saber por MUITA experiência, mas repetir o erro faz parte da burrice humana)

Poor Pierrot

Oh my. Some months old. Posting after spending ages thinking of colouring it. How can one become the Harlequin just by eating his (in this case "her") heart?

I was motivated to draw this after seeing the cutest brown dachshund with patterns. I had never seen one like that and asked the owner about him to find out he (it?) was a harlequin type (dapple for the English speakers, according to my Google research).

Tem uns meses já esse desenho. Decidi postar depois de não ficar feliz com cor alguma nele. Vi na wikipedia que se o Arlequim dá o coração pra alguém comer, o comilão vira Arlequim? Se eu comesse Alecrim? Alecrim tem coração? (putz, calaabocacriseiko - *se auto-flagela)

Entonces, decidi fazer o desenho depois de ver um salsichinha malhadinho, recém-saído da academia, tinindo de musculo... não né, era um salsicha inédito pra mim e fui perguntar pro dono sobre seu tipo, descobrindo que ele é um arlequim. Em inglês o tipo é chamado de "dapple".

Tá, nada a ver um cachorrinho fofinho com as meninas... -_-

a not-as-quick-as-I-wanted sketch after a long time. I know there are many problems in everything, since usually I don't dare to put any background on anything I do, so please be critical and destroy me in the comments. The background came from a picture I took a while ago.

I actually saw a star falling the other day, so I added it there. Didn't make a wish though. Those things are too fast.

Um sketch não tão rápido depois de um longo tempo. Sei que ele tem problemas, entao eu peço uma ajuda para melhorar esse troço, pq eu não costumo colocar background nas coisas e me ferro qdo coloco >_< . uma fraqueza minha, tenho muuuuito o q estudar tb. O bg veio de uma foto q tirei aqui em Santos.

E a estrela cadente foi algo q vi outro dia, mas passou tão rápido q não fiz pedido algum.

Este é um post meio atrasado, é o link das fotos que tirei na Lightstar há 3 semanas e que postei no flickr há 2 semanas. Só faltou avisar o povo, me desculpem, eu to beeem devagar com e-mails e vida digital em geral -_- !! Tô com muitas saudades de vocês, espero poder trabalhar com vocês em mais projetos.

This one is for the great people at Lightstar Studios. I owe them this link since last month and it's been more than 2 weeks that I had uploaded them on Flickr. Most of it is the clean up crew that is away for a "rest" now while the new project is on its way. I miss you guys terribly!!!!!!!!

Whining - a comic panel

This is me whining to my former desk neighbour, the talented and amazingly great Amora B. No wonder she left me (meaning my neighbourhood) to sit beside more playful and positive co-workers/friends for the rest of her stay at the studio. Miss you!

(translation: "so because I am such a bad actress, I ruined the company's play, and they had a lot more success after I left them to become an intern working with design, which actually meant I used to spend my whole day cutting and cleaning up toilets with photoshop"
